A hidden gem! The food here was absolutely delicious—especially the shrimp tacos and the crunchy shrimp appetizer. Super flavorful and fresh. The service was impressively fast, and the staff was friendly. It’s definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot, but that just adds to the charm and vibe. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

My husband and I came down to Orlando for a festival. This place was in walking distance from our hotel. We saw so many 5 star reviews and we were not disappointed!! We got the chips and queso 10/10. We both got the burritos, also 10/10. It's true what they say, it's a whole vibe the atmosphere was great. Our bartender has excellent customer service! sad we didn't catch his name. Would highly recommend this place If ever in the area again we will definitely be stopping by. Didn't get a picture of the burritos but I assure you, top notch. The burritos were definitely filling!

Alyssa with Offline - I had the Birria Melt, it was great just a little too much onions for my liking. The queso, guacamole & chips were good. And the Watermelon margarita was excellent! It was the perfect blend of liquor and sweetness. I love that this restaurant does happy hour deals until 9pm! I get out of work at 5pm and sometimes later so this was a great surprise when I saw I could get bogo appetizers still since it was before 9

Amazing service from the server, I wish I could’ve got his name. I came in tonight with my family, there were 5 of us and we were greeted with a warm welcome immediately. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap and it was definitely one of the best I ever had. Everything from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food was just amazing. I would definitely recommend this spot for late night eating/drinks.

We wanted somewhere super casual, near downtown as we had another stop there, and Mexican sounded good. It is an unassuming establishment and calls itself a ‘vibe’ vs a dive bar. It’s a dive bar IMO with really great food. They are located on colonial and although they have signage, it’s easy to pass. They have several parking spots but it was a slow night and that lot was half full, so I imagine it would be hard to park there for games and such. This is not generally my scene, but we were thoroughly impressed. They had a jukebox, dart throwing and sports on. It was loud but we could communicate. Our server was Mark. He was incredible. He was managing several tables and the phones - all at the same time. The menu is impressive for such a small place and leans to bar food and Mexican. There are even a few Vegan and other specialty options. And they have happy hour too. I noticed that a lot of the food options were listed as spicy and that’s not what I wanted. So, I custom-made a quesadilla. It was huge and so very good (one piece pictured). One of the best I’ve had here in Orlando and not overloaded with cheese - the perfect amount. My husband had 3 pork tacos and couldn’t finish them. They were also very, very good. We had leftovers which was nice. And, they have great prices! I think our bill (without the discount) was only about 35!! I had a basic 5 glass of wine and he had a Corona. Not bad and satisfied the craving. If you are down there and looking for this vibe and food, check them out. We will definitely go again!

Excellent in every way, from the price, which is affordable, to the atmosphere, which is calm and easygoing. The food is excellent, with generous portions and standout flavors. The tavern is one of the best-tasting restaurants I've been to in a long time. The drinks were good, with the bartender being knowledgeable and interesting and clearly enjoying what he does, and the quality of the drinks reflect that overall it's a really good bar with a decent crowd that has great, if not excellent, food and a really cool bartender. 11/10 What a great place to eat.

I was looking for a chill place to go after dinner with some friends. I’m so happy we stumbled upon The Tavern. It is just outside of Downtown Orlando, but there is a convenient parking lot in the back! It is a little dive bar with a great vibe. The owners were there and visiting with all the guests. It is obvious that they built a great community through their business. The crowd seemed like a mix of locals from the neighborhood and tourists in town for a football game. I don’t drink alcohol, so I always worry about ordering drinks at traditional bars. Most of the time, my only options are soda or water. I was pleasantly surprised when the bartender offered to make a custom mocktail for me! We ended up hanging out for a few hours, so we were hungry again! We ordered the Elote, Wang Bang Shrimp, and a Vegan Quesadilla. I’m so sad I didn’t take a photo of our food because it was sooooo good. The sauce on the Wang Bang Shrimp is *chef’s kiss* delicious. If you’re looking for a chill restaurant/dive bar that’s owned by genuinely good people, definitely stop by The Tavern in Downtown Orlando! I heard that they own a second restaurant on the East side of town. I can’t wait to check it out!

Anjel with Offline - I had an amazing time, the Tavern Trio and birria tacos were to die for! I came around 1, and there was only one server working, and she was working her butt off getting to everyone as quickly as she could. Whatever they’re paying her is not enough. According to my receipt, it just says Bar P, so I don’t know her full name, but she has my highest praise, for not only going above and beyond while running an entire restaurant’s worth of food herself, but also especially for giving me a full to-go cup of tea. Highly recommend The Tavern East if you’re in the UCF area!
